Blog: Time is a construct

The last time I was able to post was September. The fact that it’s already April, a whole seven months later, is mind blowing.

I spent my time taking a few extra classes. One of the perks was getting my work reviewed by Dan Patrick.

Being told I have a great voice by one of the sportscasters I’ve admired for years was a very emotional moment for me.

I cried. A lot. I’m not ashamed to admit that.

The rest of my time has been taken up by that beautiful pup in my header. We adopted her in July and she’s my world. Having a clingy dog can make doing jobs difficult.

I did some freelancing work for set of gaming websites, but in January took a step back. I wasn’t doing as much as I could have been. It gave me some experience and published work that I desperately needed.

I still haven’t found my dream gig yet. But I also know when I need to pivot for a better chance. I’m now freelancing for YardBarker as an NHL contributor. You can find my archive here.

While my professional focus may be on sports, my love for esports and gaming hasn’t left. My plan this month is to get back to the basics, and that includes events. My next three months are going to be jam packed with events.

First, I’ll be making my return to the HCS in two weeks. The first weekend in May, I’ll be returning to CECC to watch the elite of the collegiate world. And at the end of May, I’ll be returning to DreamHack Dallas for my third year.

I’m excited to get back to it! I’ll have some photos up in between from some events that I didn’t get into my portfolio yet, as well as a return to articles and Esports You May Have Missed.

Appreciate everyone that keeps stopping by. I’ve renewed this site for the next two years. I’m not going anywhere.
