Fortnite Global Championship Series Crowns New GOATs.

When Peterbot and Pollo left Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth on Saturday, they were commanding a 147 point lead over ThomasHD and Queasy. Peterbot even said that they planned to come out swinging in Match 7 with with a win.

However, the day did not start in their favor. Two quick exits in Matches 7 and 8 stalled their forward progress, gaining no points and dropping back to second place in the points race. ThomasHD and Queasy took advantage of the situation, as did a lot of other teams. Setty and Kami took Match 8, and Clix and Veno were able to gain enough points to put themselves back in the top 6 on the leaderboard.

A strong match 9 for Peterbot had him taking out Queasy, Trulex, Batman Bugha, Parz, and Dukez in the last circle of the match, putting them back on top going into the half.

“I’m the best player in the world baby, come on!”

Peterbot exclaimed this into his in-game microphone at the end of match 9, establishing himself as the top player before the day had ended. The duo were ahead by only 39 points, and with the 1.5 multiplier in place, a few extra eliminations by ThomasHD and Queady could have changed the leaderboard in an instant.

Match 10 saw Peterbot and Pollo eliminated around 17th place, but ThomasHD and Queasy couldn’t capitalize on the points as they fell around 11th place. This allowed for a few of the bottom teams to make strong runs. The final circle between Sphinx 7/Dukez and Boltz/Brycx came down to who had the most heals and shields. Boltz was able to heal himself just a second longer than Sphinx, giving Boltz and Brycx the win.

Because of the top 5 teams being eliminated early in match 10, many teams saw jumps in their scores by four places. No matter how hard they tried, however, no one could touch the top two teams in Peterbot/Pollo and ThomasHD/Queasy. First and second place was still seperated by 39 points. Going into match 11, it looked like the winner would come down to just a few points.

Peterbot was determined to prove everyone wrong. Match 11 saw the head to head everyone was waiting for. Pollo was eliminated in circle 9, so Peterbot had to play solo against 16 other teams that were still going. That’s when he started his tear of elimination after elimination as teams continued to fall. In the final circle, it was Peterbot against ThomasHD and Queasy. Peterbot took advantage of a damaged ThomasHD to knock him down for elimination. After Queasy finally defeats Bugha, it left Peterbot with just a quarter of health versus Queasy with 100% health and 9% shield. But Peterbot’s shotgun was just too deadly, and two quick shots from Peterbot melted Queasy, giving Peterbot and Pollo the win in Match 11.

Peterbot ended Match 11 with 8 kills, 4 of them coming after Pollo was already down.

When match 12 loaded, a lot of people, including Peterbot himself, thought that ThomasHD and Queasy would drop on Peterbot and Pollo to try and take them in a quick fight. A last chance to take out the champs. However, ThomasHD and Queasy decided to land in a different area of the map.

This didn’t play well in their favor. The duo built themselves into high ground without any stability, and the team of Bacca and Parz brought down their tower, leaving ThomasHD and Queasy vulnerable to fall damage and multiple teams below who unleash bullet rain upon them. A forced fight took out ThomasHD and Queasy, leaving Peterbot and Pollo wide open to win.

Even if they fell, the 3rd place team of Vico1x and Flickzy were also out. Over 300 points stood between the 4th place team of Trulex and Chico, solidifying the grand finals with for Peterbot and Pollo. While they didn’t need the Victory Royale, they still managed to defeat the lobby, winning the Fornite Global Championship.

With their championship win, it ended the 2024 FNCS Season with Peterbot and Pollo winning North America Major 2, Major 3, and the Grand Championship.

Some notes from the weekend:

  • Clix and Bugha had the chance to help make kids dreams a reality. Fans watched as Bugha entered the arena with his fan JP, and Clix entered with his fan Max. The two boys are part of Make-A-Wish, and the both wished to meet their favorite Fortnite stars. The pair had the chance to hang out with Bugha and Clix before they had the opportunity to walk out to the main stage.
  • Epic Games announced that the 2025 season would bring back trios. When asked who they would want to team up with as their third, Peterbot barely hesitated when he named Veno, Cold, or Swizzy.
