Team Liquid Brazil has been a dominate force in Riot’s Valorant Game Changers league. Last year, they won both stages of Game Changers Brazil, leading them to the Women’s World Championships where they fell to Shopify Rebellion (formerly V1).
The Valorant Challengers Tour is Tier 2 Valorant league play, allowing teams to rise through the ranks in a path to pro style of tournament. It allows for more players to compete in high-stakes competitions to rise through the ranks to professional players.
Many teams participate in these tournaments in open qualifiers, and it’s not the first time that Team Liquid Brazil has tried their hand making their way through the tournaments. Ultimately, they’ve come up short in the past, making it as far as the open qualifier quarterfinals in March of 2022.
Not willing to give up or give in, Team Liquid Brazil made another push through the open qualifiers, and they were excited to announce on Tuesday that they were moving on to the closed qualifiers, making them the first Game Changers team in history to play in a closed bracket qualifier in the Challengers Tour.

The VCL Brazil closed qualifiers take place January 26-28. The top two teams move on to the main event in Split 1, starting February 13th.
